About Us
“Professional snagging, ensuring you’re getting a quality home”
Following direction from you, our goal is to clarify whether your Home is built and finished to the Quality Standards as recognised by the industry
Who we are
We are a family-owned business with a passion for ensuring new home purchasers are handed over keys to homes that are completed to the highest possible standards, both in terms of quality and compliance with the latest building regulations.
David Patterson is a member of the Residential Property Surveyors Association (MRPSA) as well as MCIOB & CEnv, he is the Managing Director of Quality Home Check and has over 39 years experience in the house building industry. Having previously worked for several National House builders at a Senior management level and with an overarching responsibility for quality control he has developed extensive knowledge of building processes and ways in which developers often fall short of acceptable standards.
What we do
Our inspector will carry out a comprehensive survey of your property, identify any areas in breach of building regulations as laid out in your house builder’s chosen warranty provider technical guidance.
With the latest technical equipment and software this allows us to deliver a comprehensive photographic report with written explanations for each identified point or defect.
Our service is to provide an inspection report of all parts of the property that are visually accessible. Our main aim is to help assess whether your property has been built by the developer to the relevant technical standards and is compliant with the building regulations. Our inspection will also include aesthetical and cosmetic issues as well as faults, poor workmanship, and an assessment of the quality of the external finishes.
If weather conditions allow and if it's deemed to be required, we'll check the property with thermal cameras to highlight any areas of concern and provide thermal pictorial images to supplement the report, between the months of October to March.
