Post-Completion Inspection

“Professional snagging, ensuring you’re getting a quality home”

It is important to understand that after legal completion your rights to raise any issues with the developer last for the first 2 years of occupation.

QHC would recommend that an Inspection Survey is carried out within the first 7 days of your legal completion so that scratches to glass, damage to kitchen units and windows etc, but this does not detract from your rights under the two year defects period to have an inspection at any time within the this two year period to capture anything not built to the required Industry standards.

This post-completion inspection is a service that QHC offer should you be experiencing any problems after occupying your home. A few examples of this is maybe creaking floors or noticing unacceptable cold rooms during the winter that may not have been identified should you have completed in the warmer months.

During the first two years, your policy covers most defects, except for matters of wear and tear and minor defects such as plaster drying cracks. It is your house builder's responsibility to rectify any issues within this period.
